Called Meeting

6/25/15

Presiding over the meeting was Mayor Arline Chapman.  In attendance were Council Members Anita Rainey – Post 1, Tim Savage-Post 3, Mike Harper- Post 4, and Lowell Chambers- Post 5.  Also in attendance were City Manager, Bob Thomson and City Clerk Megan Reid. Linda Finger- Post 2 and City Attorney, Tim Chambers were absent.

 

Agenda Item 1 - Call to order

Mayor Chapman called the meeting to order.

 

Agenda Item 2- Resolution to Open a Bank Account for Disc Golf Fundraiser

 

Read aloud by City Manager Bob Thomson

 

Motion 1- was made by Council Member Tim Savage to approve the Resolution as read and was seconded by Council member Mike Harper.

 

Motion was approved unanimously.

 

Agenda Item 3- Resolution to allow beer and wine in the Porter Memorial Gym for the Film Series 2015

 

Read aloud by City Manager, Bob Thomson.

 

Motion 2- was made by Council Member Tim Savage to approve the Resolution as read and was seconded by Council member Mike Harper.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

Agenda Item 4- Public Hearing for Beer, Wine, and Distilled Spirits License for The Company Store, Timothy Savage

 

Council Member Tim Savage recused himself from Agenda Item 4 and 5.

 

Mayor Chapman Opened the Public Hearing.

 

Owner Tim Savage explained that this restaurant would be more than a Deli. It has a fine dining restaurant in the back also known as a “speak easy.” However, his deli would be serving fresh Boar’s Head Meat and will have a bakery delivery fresh bread daily. They will be open 7 days a week.

 

Mayor Chapman closed the public hearing.

 

 

Agenda Item 5- Decision for Beer, Wine, and Distilled Spirits for Tim Savage at The Company Store, 2001 Main St, Porterdale, GA 30014

 

 

Motion 3- was made by Council Member Lowell Chambers to approve Tim Savage for Beer, Wine, and Distilled Spirits licenses and was seconded by Council member Mike Harper.

 

Motion passed with Tim Savage recusing his vote.

 

 

 

 

 

Agenda Item 6-Adjournment

 

Motion 4- was made by Council Member Mike Harper to adjourn and was seconded by Council Member Anita Rainey.

 

Motion carried unanimously
