CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MINUTES

November 15, 2016

 

 

Presiding over the meeting was Mayor Arline Chapman.  In attendance were Council Members Terry Gray – Post 1, Linda Finger – Post 2, Tim Savage – Post 3, Mike Harper – Post 4, and Lowell Chambers – Post 5. Also in attendance were Bob Thomson- City Manager, Tim Chambers-City Attorney, and Megan Reid-City Clerk.

 

Agenda Item 1 - Call to order

Mayor Arline Chapman called the meeting to order.

 

 

Agenda Item 2 – Alcohol License Revocation Suspension Hearing

Motion 1- was made by Council Member Mike Harper made a motion to dismiss the revocation or suspension.

 

Motion failed.

 

Motion 2- was made by Council Member Linda Finger to revoke all Alcohol Licenses for The Social House.

 

Motion Failed.

 

Motion 3- was made by Council member Lowell Chambers to suspend Alcohol Licenses for the Social House for 30 days beginning November 17, 2016 at 8pm and was seconded by Council Member Terry Gray.

 

 

Motion passed. 3-1-

 Nay- Council Member Mike Harper

 Council Member Savage Recused Himself

 

Mayor Chapman Closed the Hearing.

 

Agenda 3 – Executive Session for Potential Litigation and Real Estate Matters

 

Motion 4 – was made by Council Member Lowell Chambers to go into Executive Session for Potential Litigation and Real Estate Matters and was seconded by Council Member Tim Savage.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

Motion 5- was made by Council Member Linda Finger to go into the Called Meeting and was seconded by Council Member Lowell Chambers.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

Motion 6- was made by Council Member Linda Finger to authorize the City Attorney, Tim Chambers to negotiate a settlement with Geoffery Jacobs.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

Motion 7- was made by Council Member Lowell Chambers to authorize the City Attorney, Tim Chambers, to pursue the ownership of the Fire Department building and was seconded by Council Member Linda Finger.

 

Agenda Item 4 - Adjournment

 

Motion 8 - was made by Council Member Mike Harper to adjourn and was seconded by Council Member Tim Savage.

 

Motion carried unanimously.
