CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MINUTES

April 3, 2017

 

 

Presiding over the meeting was Mayor Arline Chapman.  In attendance were Council Members Terry Gray – Post 1, Linda Finger – Post 2, Mike Harper – Post 4 and Lowell Chambers – Post 5. Also in attendance were Bob Thomson - City Manager, Tim Chambers - City Attorney, and Megan Reid - City Clerk. Timothy Savage - Post 3 was absent.

 

Agenda Item 1 - Call to order

Mayor Arline Chapman called the meeting to order.

The invocation was led by Mayor Arline Chapman

Mayor Arline Chapman led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion 1- was made Council Member Mike Harper to approve the agenda and was seconded by Council Member Linda Finger.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

Agenda Item 9 - Approval of Minutes

 

February 6, 2017- Council Meeting Minutes

Motion 2- was made by Council Member Lowell Chamber to approve minutes with note stating Judge Degonia’s departure was amicable and was seconded by Council Member Linda Finger.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

March 6, 2017- Council Meeting Minutes

 

Motion 3- was made by Council Member Linda Finger to approve minutes from March 6, 2017 and was seconded by Council Member Mike Harper.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

 

March 23, 2017- Called Meeting Minutes

 

Motion 4- was made by Council member Linda Finger to approve minutes from March 23, 2017 and was seconded by Council Member Mike Harper.

 

Motion passed unanimously.

    1. Council Decision

 

Motion 5- was made by Council Member Lowell Chambers to approve the decision made by the Historical Preservation Commission based on the finding that the commission did not abuse its discretion in reaching its decision and was seconded by Council member Linda Finger.

 

Motion passed unanimously.
